Q3 Partnership: The Cat Collaborative

We’re so excited to announce our new partnership with The Cat Collaborative, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping homeless cats in our city! Utilizing the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) method, dedicated volunteers have worked tirelessly to trap and sterilize thousands of community cats in our Philly neighborhoods since 2021. This method provides not only a better quality of life for the strays, but also increases the likelihood for these kitties to find their furr-ever home. From July 1 to September 30, 2026, all proceeds from your donations will directly fund their efforts.

One of the founding principles of The Cat Collaborative is “Every cat that wants a home, deserves a home” and we couldn’t agree more! TNR has several benefits, including population control. This reduces the amount of kittens born outside, so they can re-home the many strays already wandering the streets. They do this by partnering with local and out-of-state rescues to get these cats into safe and loving homes.

Plus, with less cats on the streets, the less money community members will have to spend on feeding and caring for them. Their trained volunteers also provide vaccinations to the cats they trap, so if they do end up back on the streets, they can’t spread diseases or harm to other necessary wildlife.

Over just five years, The Cat Collaborative has successfully assisted nearly 23,000 cats in Philly! That’s thousands of cats saved, and it’s all solely through volunteer work. These incredible volunteers are praised through the three different clubs: 1000 Club, 500 Club, and 100 Club. When a volunteer reaches one of these milestones, they are recognized in annual gala programs you can check out at their location or online.

If you find yourself resonating with TCC’s mission beyond donating with us, there are plenty of other volunteer opportunities available besides trapping. They are always looking for assistance in feeding and cleaning cats while they recover from sterilization surgery or helping transport trapped cats to a clinic. Anybody with administrative experience is also encouraged to get involved. Check out all the opportunities and impact they have here: https://www.thecatcollaborative.org
